Feeling pretty mad at myself currently because of all the friendships I’ve let slip away.

GREAT friends too! Great people! I’m just not good at keeping people close to me, or letting them get close to me in the first place.

There are way too many people who I think are really great and who I’d love to get to know better and get close to. The problem is I hang out with the people I hang out with SOMETIMES. There’s no one that I hang out with consistently anymore.

And most of the time I like that, I like not hanging out with one single person or group of people every single day. I did that with Ashley Houston in 8th grade so I guess I’m kind of over that scene. But I’m also at the polar opposite of that spectrum now- even if I want to hang out with someone more than once, I don’t.

I judge people too quickly I think. I assume any good friendship is going to turn into a BEST friendship (I know it’s stupid that I still keep those distinctions in my head, they’re so arbitrary) and I guess I subconsciously resist them? Good friendships. I resist good solid friendships with really great people.

I’m just talented at keeping myself from things that are good for me.

But I am trying to be better :)
